Headed by Dr. Aarti Nangia, as the Medical Director. Dr. Aarti Nangia, M.B.B.S. and M.S. (Ophthalmology) is an alumnus of the prestigious Gandhi Eye Institute, J.N.M.C, Aligarh. She has been a Sr. Consultant ophthalmology since 15 years plus. She is a member of societies AIOS, DOS & SOS cataract & refractive surgery. Dr. Aarti Nangia is at present the Medical Director of Rotary Eye Care Centre. She She is a phaco and anterior segment surgeon with special interest and expertise in refractive surgery and squint corrective surgery .She has over fifteen years of experience and has done hundreds of cataract micro incision stitch less latest advanced phacoemulsification surgeries . She has worked as a senior consultant for over fifteen years under the able guidance with Dr. Mahipal Sachdev ,a renowned cataract phaco surgeon ,pioneer in newer micro incision cataract surgery whose techniques are of world fame . She has been doing LASIK refractive surgeries after attaining a certificate fellowship in refractive or spectacle free laser surgery from famous refractive surgeon Dr. Rupal Shaw in Bombay in 2008. She has been performing many LASIK surgeries to correct abnormal glasses power with gratifying results postoperatively . Squint corrective surgeries are her special interest field of expertise after having worked with the renounced squint surgeon of national and international repute Dr. Premprakash ,she also was an observer in Shankar Netralaya.Awards - Ophthalmology Club– 250, 2007. - Max Health Awards 2009.
Dr. Aarti Nangia has been presenting papers in DOS, AIOS, SOS, Conferences and has also published many papers in Delhi Ophthalmic Journal and Ophthalmology Today.
The Rotary Eye Care Centre set up with the Medical perspectives and help of Dr. Ranjana Minal, Senior Surgeon at Apollo FImpital and Dr. Aatli Nangia, Sr. Surgeon at Max Hospital and voluntary Project expertise and overall coordination provided by Shri J. C. Khuranat Hon. Advisor, has been doing commendable social work by conducting free Eye Camps in several slum areas and colonies inhabited by disadvantaged sections of society in the NCT of Delhi and performing surgeries, giving consultations and treatment at the Eye Carc Centro.
The sympathetic, cheerful and dedicated services provided by the Staff at the Eye Camps and to patients at the Eye Care Centre has been exemplary. I ant confident the Centre will grow and provide precious eye sight to mom and more patients to lead a happy and normal life. I wish this Rotary initiative all success in the future."
